“…Psychiatric symptoms among WZVs may also present challenges to relationships. Both military and civilian studies have indicated increased intimate relationship dysfunction, including poorer communication, relationship dissatisfaction, lower family cohesion, and higher intimate partner violence (IPV), among dyads in which one member reports PTSD symptoms (e.g., Campbell & Renshaw, 2018; Lambert, Engh, Hasbun, & Holzer, 2012; Taft, Watkins, Stafford, Street, & Monson, 2011).
