Potential Effect of Porosity Evolution of Cemented Paste Backfill on Selective Solidification of Heavy Metal Ions

Abstract: Cemented paste backfill (CPB) is a common environmentally friendly mining approach. However, it remains undetermined whether CPB pollutes underground mine water. Tank leaching analysis of a CPB mass in distilled water was performed for 120 d, and water quality was tested in situ for a long-term pollution assessment. Computerized tomography was also used to determine the CPB micro-pore structure and ion-leaching mechanism. The dissolved Zn2+, Pb2+ and As5+ concentrations in the leachate peaked at 0.56, 0.11 and… Show more

“…Asia (China, India), Western Europe, and North America have become the three largest nitrogen deposition concentration areas [ 8 ]. The significant increase in AND leads to the acidification, eutrophication, and biodiversity reduction in soil, water and ecosystems [ 9 ], which seriously threatens the water and terrestrial ecosystems [ 10 ]. At the beginning of 2020, the tropospheric NO 2 column in eastern China decreased by 65% compared with the same period in 2019, mainly caused by the change of fossil fuel combustion after the epidemic response period [ 11 ].…”

“…However, in the early development of this technology, only two-dimensional CT images could be obtained after CT scanning the concrete, and the relevant information was recorded and saved in the digital form on a computer. In recent years, with the improvement of computer processing ability, the use of a computer can realize the commands of CT image denoising, filtering, image segmentation, so as to build a three-dimensional model of concrete, which is called digital image processing technology [21][22][23][24]. At present, there is a variety of research on the processing of CT scanning images of fiber reinforced concrete with digital image processing technology, but there is little research on the microstructure of basalt fiber reinforced concrete with this technology [25].…”
