Potential of ligninolytic enzymatic complex produced by white‐rot fungi from genus Trametes isolated from Bulgarian forest soil

Abstract: Because of the crucial role of ligninolytic enzymes in a variety of industrial processes, the demand for a new effective producer has been constantly increasing. Furthermore, information on enzyme synthesis by autochthonous fungal strains is very seldom found. Two fungal strains producing ligninolytic enzymes were isolated from Bulgarian forest soil. They were identified as being Trametes trogii and T. hirsuta. These two strains were assessed for their enzyme activities, laccase (Lac), lignin peroxidase (LiP) … Show more

“…The laccase model is a mini-max function with stationary points at the MS concentration of 16.6 %, substrate moisture of 67.9 %, the temperature of 24.5 °C, and pH 6.4. The contour plots show that high laccase activity could be obtained at 5 ; however, the optimal temperature depends on the fungal species or strain, and it can vary from 25 °C (recorded for some species such as Trametes hirsuta 5,18 ) to 35 °C (for species like T. trogii 18 ). According to the studies conducted by Humphrey and Siggers, and Herrick 19,20 , S. gausapatum is a species that grows at lower temperature.…”

“… Coriolopsis trogii , previously known as Trametes trogii ( https://www.mycoguide.com/guide/fungi/basi/agar/poly/poly/trma/trogii ), is a globally distributed white-rot basidiomycete that has been recognized as an excellent source of ligninolytic enzymes and thermostable laccases ( 1 6 ). The crude extract and exopolysaccharides of C. trogii also show strong pharmacological effects, such as anticancer and antioxidative effects ( 7 9 ).…”
