“…Monthly Vietnamese-language questionnaires were used to collect information on (1) number of birds of each species and production type, (2) expected age of removal from the farm, (3) number of birds introduced, removed, and deceased in the last month, (4) clinical symptoms associated with death, (5) vaccines administered, (6) type of poultry housing used, and (7) disinfection activity. Each farm's poultry were classified into "flocks", defined as groups of birds of the same age, species, and production type (25). The main poultry species raised in these farms were chickens, ducks and Muscovy ducks.…”
