Poverty, Policy and the Poor

Abstract: This article and editorial aims to point out 193 governments’ unrealised pledge to eradicate extreme poverty and end hunger by 2030. The latest progress report shows that overall progress against the sustainable development goals 1 and 2 is not on track. It calls for renewed commitment by governments to allocate adequate resources and take practical steps to end poverty and hunger by engaging people at local levels at a global scale.
