Power battery third-party reverse logistics provider selection: Fuzzy evidential reasoning

Abstract: Massive power batteries (PBs) are crucial to new energy vehicle enterprises. Due to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), the third-party reverse logistics provider selection(3PRLPs) process has become an important decision to save cost. This paper uses an innovative combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative data integration to address the PB 3PRLPs problem by using Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and fuzzy evidential reasoning (FER). Firstly, the possible failures and potential effects … Show more

“…At the same time, the penetration rate of new energy vehicle production and sales (the ratio of new energy vehicle production and sales to total vehicles) increased from 0.08% and 0.10% in 2013 to 4.83% and 4.68% in 2019, with compound annual growth rates of 98.07 and 89.83%, respectively. Power battery is the core component of new energy electric vehicles, and its average life is about 8 years 6 , 7 , which means that new energy electric vehicles, which have been produced on a large scale since 2014 and have exploded in growth, will usher in the "end-of-life wave" of power batteries in recent years 8 , and the domestic power battery retirement volume is expected to reach 708,000 in 2030 9 . In this context, power battery recycling recovery has become an important part of the sustainable development of the new energy vehicle industry 10 .…”
