Abstract

A Product of the South Asia Group for Energy 1 Electrification is used throughout this paper to indicate technologies using electricity as the source of energy or as the act of switching from another energy source, such as direct fuel use, to electricity. 2 For the purposes of this report, renewable energy will refer to wind and solar generation unless otherwise noted. 3 CEA's definition includes wind, solar, small hydro, and biomass.
