Abstract:Qualitative probabilistic networks (QPNs) are a qualitative abstraction of Bayesian networks, which focus on the monotonic relationship between variables. However, sometimes we don't care about this monotonic relationship, but more concerned about the change of probability of the variable comparing with its prior probability. In this paper, we propose a new qualitative abstraction of Bayesian networks-PQPNs (prior qualitative probabilistic networks) that focuses on the prior probability distribution. We analyz… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
