Abstract:Background: Neuropathic pain is a chronic incapacitating painful condition for which there is no effective treatment. The peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) are ligand-activated nuclear transcription factors that play key roles in modulating immune and inflammatory responses.
