Pre-low-mass X-ray binaries containing a black hole: investigating a detection mechanism

Abstract: This work investigates the feasibility of detecting close, detached, black hole-red dwarf binaries, which are expected to be evolutionary precursors of low-mass X-ray binaries (LMXBs).
