Precedent Phenomena with Sphere Source “Literature” in M. Stepnova’s Artistic Discourse

Abstract

The article is devoted to studying the precedence phenomenon in artistic discourse. The research objective includes identifying specificity of the precedent phenomena functioning in the modern literary text. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that precedent phenomena with the sphere source “Literature” are examined for the first time by the material of M. Stepnova’s stories. The findings indicate that precedent names and precedent statements are among the most frequent types of precedent phenomena. Special role of domestic literature as a source of precedence is emphasized, peculiarities of the precedent phenomena functioning in M. Stepnova’s artistic discourse are revealed.
