Precision Measurements and Prospects with Kaons at CERN

Zdenko Hives

Abstract: The NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS collected the world's largest dataset of charged kaon decays during 2016-2018. The dataset was used for the most precise measurement of the branching fraction of the ultra-rare decay 𝐾 + β†’ πœ‹ + 𝜈 Ξ½. In this proceedings, the NA62 experiment reports recent results from analyses of decays 𝐾 + β†’ πœ‹ 0 𝑒 + πœˆπ›Ύ (𝐾 𝑒3𝛾 ), 𝐾 + β†’ πœ‹ + πœ‡ + πœ‡ βˆ’ (𝐾 πœ‹ πœ‡πœ‡ ) and 𝐾 + β†’ πœ‹ + 𝛾𝛾 (𝐾 πœ‹π›Ύπ›Ύ ). The radiative 𝐾 𝑒3𝛾 decay has a data sample of O (100π‘˜) candidates with sub-perc… Show more
