Abstract:Background Prehospital risk stratification and timing of revascularization in Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS) is currently based on the electrocardiogram (ECG). ST- elevation in the ECG indicates myocardial infarction (STEMI) in need of immediate reperfusion therapy.
