Abstract:Background: Acalypha indica Linn. is a weed plant found in shady wetlands. It is commonly called as kuppai meni in Tamil, belonging to the family Euphorbiaceae. It is found to be one of the greatest Indian plants with anti-venom, antibacterial, antiviral and antimicrobial properties.
