Preliminary thoughts about the occurence of violence among the Brazilian shellmound builders: analysis of the skeletons from Cabeçuda (Santa Catarina) and Arapuan (Rio de Janeiro) sites.

Abstract: RESUMO: O presente estudo teve como objetivo testar a hipótese preli minar de que os grupos construtores de sambaquis do litoral brasileiro, de uma forma geral, não praticavam a violência física de forma recorrente.
