“…Under CT guidance, the wire was successfully deployed close to the index clip within a few millimeters in all cases, which was also demonstrated on previous studies of CT‐guided wire localization in breast lesions . The procedure time of around 30 minutes is somewhat longer than that of 10–20 minutes in a previous study for CT‐guided wire localization of clips in the breast . However, all of our patients tolerated the procedure well, suggesting that our procedure seemed acceptable for the patients.…”

“…There have been many studies of CT‐guided wire localization for pulmonary lesions , and several studies for breast lesions . Uematsu et al have reported that they successfully adopted CT‐guided wire localization of clip markers after stereotactic directional vacuum‐assisted breast biopsy . However, there have been limited reports on CT‐guided wire localization for axillary lymph nodes , and no reports on CT‐guided wire localization applied for residual iALNs or markers after NAC to our knowledge.…”

“…It is important to identify the precise biopsy site using the clip in the follow-up period. Moreover, our institution has adopted a new technique of needle localization of a clip using computed tomography for surgical excision [18]. Therefore, we tended to place a clip at the biopsy site for calcification after vacuum-assisted stereotactic biopsy.…”

“…Uematsu et al [23] demonstrated that the feasibility of CT-guided preoperative hookwire localization with a radial approach for marker clips deployed after SVAB. Clips are particularly helpful when dealing with multiple biopsy sites.…”
