ABSTRACT
Investigation of 1,107 cases of exanthematous diseases in Manaus allowed the identification of the first 47 cases of human parvovirus B19 in the city. Parvovirus B19 was characterized by a combination of signs and symptoms such as fever, chronic headache, arthralgia, myalgia and exanthema.
