Abstract: Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) is a leading cause of hospital and community acquired infections globally. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) prevalence has been reported to be high in various settings and is associated with increased morbidity, mortality and risk of nosocomial outbreaks.
