Abstract: As doenças hipertensivas gestacionais são um grande problema de saúde pública devido a sua relação com a morbimortalidade materna e perinatal e por apresentar significativas taxas no Brasil. Pode-se classifica-las em: hipertensão crônica, pré-eclâmpsia sobreposta à hipertensão crônica, pré-eclâmpsia, eclampsia e hipertensão relacionada a gravidez.
