Recycled paper products rise globally due to the potential environmental and economic benefits, especially in the Chinese market. However, despite the extensive use of recycled cardboard and packaging cartons by enterprises, the penetration rate of individual consumers to buy any recycled paper products is relatively low. Moreover, the upgrading of the paper industry is considered a crucial environmentally sustainable manufacturing process in the 21st century, and recycled paper is the best alternative. However, only the consumers willing to pay and continue to create more demand can signal manufacturers and investors that recycled paper demand and economy are feasible. Several past studies have been conducted to determine the influencing factors of Chinese consumers buying various sustainable products; nevertheless, there is no focus on recycled paper products. It is crucial to gain insight into the drivers of recycled paper purchase intention for its sustainable label, but there is a lack of relevant research. Therefore, using the Theory of Planned Behavior as the foundation, this conceptual paper investigated factors affecting recycled paper purchase intention, including attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavior control, and price sensitivity. Furthermore, this study reviews the relevant literature on sustainable consumption in the past and finally proposes a future research framework.

Electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular in societies and an important part of smart grids. Utility companies should be able to provide them with vital energy as they need electric energy instead of fuel, and this is where new challenges emerge in the network. In order to avoid causing utilities to incur additional energy and economic losses, researchers have proposed smart charging as a way to provide adequate energy to vehicles. When developing a charging schedule for a fleet of EVs, special considerations are made on variables such as energy, cost, and EVs milage. In this review paper, the importance of EVs integration into smart grids is studied, and then different methods to develop EVs charging scheduling are investigated. These methods can vary from optimization algorithms to learning-based, and game theory-based approaches. Then, as the considered system consists of three main actors, including EV users, the utility operator, and aggregators, a systematic review is conducted on these actors, and objectives related to each one are analyzed. Finally, research gaps related to the problem are studied. Researchers can use this review to conduct further research on the integration of EVs into smart grids.

The paper provides the analysis of fuel and energy transition in households sector and its sustainable development in the period 2004–2019. The main purpose of the paper is to determine the development trends in the use of renewable energy sources (RES) in the EU countries household sector in 2004–2019, to recognize the state of development and functioning of the studied area as well as to indicate their successes and shortcomings in observed reality. The article employs the results of Energy balance sheets from Eurostat. The research entity were households from 28 European Union countries, with particular emphasis on households from Poland and selected neighboring countries. The research subjects there were different sources of renewable energy used by households, i.e., solar thermal system, geothermal technologies, primary solid biofuels, charcoal, biogases, blended biogasoline, blended biodiesels, ambient heat (heat pumps). To achieve the research objective a number of statistical measures ands methods, including cluster analysis and linear trend indicator applied. In the analyzed 16 years, an absolute and relative increase in the use of RES in the household sector was noticed. Taking into account the specificity of using RES in households, 6 clusters of countries were distinguished. In Poland, it was noted that there was a significant increase in the use of RES in households, with stagnation in the use of non-renewable energy sources, such as, for example, hard coal.
