Abstract:Primary anorectal melanoma (ARM) is extremely rare, representing less than 0.05% of colorectal malignancies and 2% of melanomas (1-3). It is the most common site of primary melanoma in the gastrointestinal tract and the third most overall (2). ARM occurs late in life and is more common in females (4,5).
