Prison Perimeter Surveillance System Using WSN

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to introduce a prison hybrid surveillance system using two main technologies; Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The system consists of three tiers; Wireless Underground Sensor Network (WUSN) in tier 0, Wireless Ground Sensor Network (WGSN) in tier 1 and Wireless Vision Sensor Network (WVSN) in tier 2 that consists of surveillance towers and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) equipped with multimedia sensors.
