Abstract: The purpose of this article is to illustrate the benefits of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the setting of abdominopelvic emergencies. Owing to intrinsically high soft-tissue contrast resolution, and ability to resolve different soft tissue, MRI holds notable advantages over other imaging modalities and can be used as a problem-solving tool.
