Abstract:In this study, Palm Empty Fruit Bunch (PEFB) was utilized to produce bio-oil through non-catalytic and catalytic pyrolysis process. A fixed-bed reactor was applied to conduct pyrolysis experiments at atmospheric pressure. Comparison of bio-oils obtained from non-catalytic and catalytic pyrolysis wih different pyrolysis temperature was studied in terms product yield.
