“…In this study, PI significantly affects VCC, consistent with earlier literature by Roy et al (2020) and Yang et al (2021), implying that eco-hotel practices that facilitate guests' relationship-building lead to active participation in VCC concerning the significance of service, collaboration, resource sharing, recognition and affective responsiveness. The results also reveal that PI significantly affects satisfaction, supported by studies by (Isa et al, 2022;Kamenidou and Stavrianea, 2022), as they also found a positive impact of PI on satisfaction. “…Companies must continually strive for customer satisfaction in various industries, particularly in service-related sectors (N ajera-S anchez et al, 2022). Furthermore, substantial empirical evidence indicates that PI enhances guest satisfaction (Isa et al, 2022;Kamenidou and Stavrianea, 2022). Although investigating the concept of satisfaction within the context of sustainable practices has recently become the primary focus for scholars in the hospitality industry (Moise et al, 2021), the literature is still limited.…”

“…Monasteries are special places for spiritual thought, contemplation, and worship among the many places that draw religious tourists (Robina Ramírez and Pulido Fernández 2018). Referred to as peaceful havens, monasteries are frequently tucked away in scenic settings and provide a chance for travelers and pilgrims to go on holy pilgrimages in search of comfort, wisdom, and spiritual contact (Aulet and Vidal 2018;Kamenidou and Stavrianea 2021). Monastery (monastic) tourism is the term used to describe the visiting of monasteries for religious or tourism-related causes.…”

“…As stated by van Tongren (2014, p. 53), some people seem to go to monasteries only for spiritual or religious purposes, while others visit for a positive and enjoyable experience that does not, however, carry any primarily religious aspirations. Scholars, practitioners, and policymakers have been paying more attention to the phenomena of religious tourism in recent years, which is indicative of its growing significance in the world of tourism (Aulet and Vidal 2018;Božić et al 2016;Durán-Sánchez et al 2018;Kamenidou and Stavrianea 2021;Patwardhan et al 2020a;Robina Ramírez and Pulido Fernández 2018). Within this broader context, monasteries emerge as focal points of religious tourism, drawing visitors from diverse backgrounds and faith traditions.…”
