“…The adsorption method has become one of the most effective means for the treatment of sewage because of its simple operation, high removal efficiency, no secondary pollution, and low cost. , The adsorption method based on magnetic separation technology has attracted extensive attention in water treatment applications. Fe 3 O 4 microspheres have a large specific surface area, high surface activity, and most importantly, high magnetism, so they can play an important role in water treatment as an adsorbent. In addition, of particular attention is that the magnetism stemming from Fe 3 O 4 microspheres can ensure the rapid separation of the adsorbent from the solution. However, the lack of specific interactions between Fe 3 O 4 microspheres and the adsorbates often leads to inferior adsorption performances. , Therefore, the combination of Fe 3 O 4 microspheres and conducting polymers having abundant functional groups is considered to overcome this shortcoming. Polypyrrole (PPy) has many advantages due to its good electrical conductivity, redox properties, environmental stability, and low price, and, notably, the presence of positively charged nitrogen atoms that can adsorb dyestuffs and reduce heavy metal ions.
