Progress on production cross-sections of unknown nuclei in fusion evaporation reactions and multinucleon transfer reactions

Abstract: The progresses on production cross-sections of unknown nuclei in fusion evaporation (FE) reactions and multinucleon transfer (MNT) reactions are reviewed. The synthesis of the superheavy nuclei (SHN) with [Formula: see text], 119, 120, 121, and 122 in FE reactions is presented. As a promising pathway to produce neutron-rich nuclei, the MNT reactions near the Coulomb barrier are applied to investigate the generation of neutron-rich heavy nuclei and the transuranium nuclei.
