Abstract: Prolactin (PRL) is a peptide hormone produced by the pituitary gland and diverse extrapituitary sites, which triggers activation of various signaling pathways after binding to its receptor (PRLr) resulting in the activation of specific genes associated with the pleiotropic activities of PLR.
