Abstract:Persistent luminescence (PersL) materials with impressive superiorities in optical performance have shown tremendous potential for information encryption application. Herein, a Bi 3+ -doped LiGa 5 O 8 PersL material is facilely synthesized by a simple solid-state reaction. Site selective and preferential occupation of Bi 3+ ions at distinct Ga 3+ and Li + polyhedra sites in LiGa 5 O 8 endows it with a bimodal emission at 511 and 718 nm upon UV excitation at 254 nm. After removing the light source, an intense r… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
