Prospective cardiac motion self-gating

Abstract: Background: To develop a prospective cardiac motion self-gating method that provides robust and accurate cardiac triggers in real time. Methods: The proposed self-gating method consists of an "imaging mode" that acquires the k-space segments and a "self-gating mode" that captures the cardiac motion by repeatedly sampling the k-space centerline. A training based principal component analysis algorithm is utilized to process the self-gating data where the projection onto the first principal component was used as t… Show more

“…54 Other approaches will be to denoise as well as design better segmentation to statistically remove ill-fitted pixels in the ROI, and employ better-fitting strategies and motion correction. 5559 Actually, our preliminary analysis demonstrated that IVIM parameters’ scan–rescan reproducibly can be satisfactory if motion-contaminated data are carefully removed during analysis. Another limitation of our study is all our patients had liver fibrosis due to viral hepatitis-b.…”

“…Because the nature of the surface of nanoparticles, such as size, charge, and ligands, infl uences the blood circulation half-life, biodistribution and targeting abilities of the particles, much effort has been devoted to the surface modification of nanoparticles. [128][129][130] There is an urgent need to expand studies on the surface modifi cation of NMOFs. Different hydrophilic polymers have been employed to provide small 2015, 11, No.…”

“…Cardiac "self-gated" techniques 21,22 have been proposed to eliminate the need for ECG synchronization by acquiring and processing additional MR signals to derive cardiac cycle timing information resulting in decreased imaging efficiency. These studies have extracted the cardiac self-gating signal from the acquired data during breath-holds [23][24][25] or free-breathing. 19,20,26 Previously reported cardiac self-gating approaches have used the k-space center point 22,27 or center k-space line 5,13,14,23 as navigator signals.…”
