Abstract:Background: Sepsis is a life-threatening disease caused by the body's reaction to infection, which results in tissue destruction, organ failure, and death. Sepsis affects at least 30 million people worldwide each year, with 6 million people dying as a result. The goal of the research was to see whether the measurement of the Optic Nerve Sheath Diameter (ONSD) could be used to predict fluid responsiveness in hemodynamically unstable individuals.
