Abstract:Moxifloxacin is a fourth-generation of fluoroquinolone antimicrobial, (at first called BAY 12-8039) and it is advertised worldwide under the brand name avelox. Moxifloxacin is active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
