Abstract:Heterostructures, composed of semiconducting transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDC) and magnetic van-der-Waals materials, offer exciting prospects for the manipulation of the TMDC valley
properties via proximity interaction with the magnetic material. We show that the atomic proximity of monolayer MoSe2 and the antiferromagnetic van-der-Waals crystal CrSBr leads to an unexpected breaking of time-reversal symmetry, with originally perpendicular spin-orbit fields. The observed effect can be traced back to a pro… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
