Pseudo-Noise Ranging for Future Transparent and Regenerative Channels

Abstract

This paper presents an overview of the current Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) activities in developing a standard for pseudo-noise ranging techniques, with the goal of improving a spacecraft's ranging accuracy and ultimately the knowledge of its orbit.
