Psoriasis: Management and self-care

Abstract: Psoriasis is a common skin condition that affects an estimated 3% of the population. In one third of cases, psoriasis will develop during childhood or adolescence. Juvenile psoriasis is also associated with other co-morbidities such as hyperlipidaemia, obesity, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn's disease.
