“…We might have missed the proportion of elderly population who needed medical care but couldn't access the ED. However, the prevalence is higher when compared to the studies done in the ED of high resourced countries [8.2% (India) [34], 16.5% (USA) [23], 17% (USA) [21], 22.75% (Australia) [35] , 27% (USA) [19] and 42% (Hong Kong)] [41]. The higher prevalence in comparison to developed countries like the US, Australia may be due to overall high prevalence in the population in LMIC.…”
