Pulmonary histiocytosis X: pulmonary function and exercise pathophysiology.

Abstract: Pulmonary histiocytosis X (PHX) is a diffuse, smoking-related lung disease characterized pathologically by bronchocentric inflammation, cyst formation, and widespread vascular abnormalities and physiologically by exercise limitation.
