Abstract:Backgroud. The results of the Fontan operation, depending on the anatomy of the pulmonary arteries, have been studied quite well. Various indices have been proposed to assess the degree of hypoplasia of the pulmonary arterial bed (Nakata, Reddy, and McGoon indexes).
