“…Interestingly, when using a perovskite, the formation of all products except for nonadecane (C 19 H 40 ) showed higher values at a longer time (240 min). Furthermore, it is possible to observe that our presented route generates straight-chain hydrocarbons, which can be further processed into diesel via hydrocracking reactions . The higher yield observed for straight chains could be due to the interaction of the intermediaries with the electric field and the polarized perovskite, thus enhancing the stabilization of the charged species . Specifically, synthetic fuel can be produced from the current product streams generated, comprising C 5 –C 11 naphtha, which can be blended into gasoline; C 9 –C 20 diesel, which has a high cetane number; and C 20+ waxes, which can also be converted into diesel through hydrocracking.…”

“…106 The higher yield observed for straight chains could be due to the interaction of the intermediaries with the electric field and the polarized perovskite, thus enhancing the stabilization of the charged species. 107 Specifically, synthetic fuel can be produced from the current product streams generated, comprising C 5 −C 11 naphtha, which can be blended into gasoline; C 9 −C 20 diesel, which has a high cetane number; and C 20+ waxes, which can also be converted into diesel through hydrocracking. Interestingly, the mixture obtained shows the presence of benzene, which could possibly influence the octane number and performance characteristics of a fuel.…”

“…The UV‐C radiation is obtained from xenon gas or medium pressure UV lamps. Flash lamps are the most important element of a PL system, and are formed by an envelope, seals, and electrodes (Mandal et al., 2020; Pankaj et al., 2018; Singh et al., 2022). The PL equipment differs according to the manufacturers, and are designed for batch or continuous treatments (Moraru & Uesugi, 2009).…”

“…Chemical and physical modification of starch molecules, and the hybrid system produced by the addition of polymer molecules and nanomaterials, have proved to be promising approaches to overcoming these issues. 1,[5][6][7][8] Several studies in the literature have focused on the use and evaluation of some promising and sustainable alternatives named green technologies to improve the properties of starch-based materials, highlighting chemical treatments with ozone 4,9-14 and cross-linking agents from natural sources [15][16][17][18][19][20] ; and some physical treatments, such as dry heating treatment (DHT), [21][22][23][24] heat moisture treatment (HMT), 25,26 pulsed electric field (PEF), [27][28][29] cold plasma (CP) 29 and ultrasound (US). 30,31 According to Maniglia et al, 24 dry heating treatment is an effective approach for starch modification.…”
