Abstract:We propose and analyze an augmented DiffServ architecture for ad hoc networks. A scheme based on shadow classes and ECN is used to control the load. By including ECN we are able to regulate the admitted flows and the best-effort traffic in order to avoid congestion and improve the conditions for the prioritized traffic. Through simulations we analyze the proposed architecture, and illustrate trade-offs between utilization of the network resources and the QoS performance. By tuning the regulation mechanisms we … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
