Abstract:This work introduces a boost converter with quadratic gain. Its main advantage compared to well-known similar quadratic boost converters is that it requires capacitors with a relatively small capacitance and inductors with small inductance, leading to a reduction in the size or stored energy while performing a power conversion of similar power rating and the same switching ripples in both the input current and the output voltage.
