Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases that has gone through a demographic transition -epidemiological alongside other chronic diseases and is considered today, a public health problem worldwide. In Brazil it was established that access, monitoring and accountability for diabetes should be guaranteed to citizens through the Health Centers for (CS), from prevention to emergency care in acute complications. The study aimed to develop and implement an educational activity on the glycemic changes for nurses of the CS and to evaluate their knowledge before and after the educational approach. Descriptive study, almost experimental educational activity for nurses of CS, in the care of glycemic changes (hyper / hypoglycemia).
