Abstract:Soft rock undergoes internal structural redistribution and random damage under the action of dry–wet cycles, with these processes ultimately affecting its mechanical properties. In order to analyze the evolution mechanism of mineral composition inside soft rocks, an effective method for the characterization of the nonlinear damage of soft rock using a multifractal spectrum is presented. Moreover, a cross-scale correlation model of internal structural changes and strength degradation is established. Based on sc… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
