Abstract:Lisinopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor that is widely used in the treatment of heart diseases and hypertension.Objectives: To compare the percentage purity of several brands of Lisinopril tablets available in the Malaysian Outlets by the UV spectrophotometric and the Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopic methods (FTIR) and to evaluate the time taken for each brand of Lisinopril tablets to dissolve during disintegration analysis.
