Quantitative Studies on the Immunoglobulins of Adult Texel Sheep and Lambs during the First Weeks of Life*

Abstract: Summary Sera of 45 healthy adult Texel sheep and sera obtained from lambs at various times after birth were examined quantitatively by means of single radial immunodiffusion with specific antisera in respect of the occurrence of IgG1, IgG2, IgM, and IgA. The dispersion in the immunoglobulin titres of healthy adult animals was very great indeed but by and large the values agreed with the corresponding values of cattle.
