Quantitative Trait Loci Pyramiding Can Improve the Nutritional Potential of Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Fruits

Abstract: Solanum lycopersicum represents an important source of antioxidants and other bioactive compounds. Previously two Solanum pennellii introgression lines (IL 7-3 and IL 12-4) were identified as carrying quantitative trait loci (QTL) increasing fruit ascorbic acid and phenolics content.
