(Quasi) multitask support vector regression with heuristic hyperparameter optimization for whole-genome prediction of complex traits: a case study with carcass traits in broilers
Abstract:This study investigates non-linear kernels for multi-trait genomic prediction using support vector regression (SVR) models. We assessed the predictive ability delivered by single-trait (ST) and multi-trait (MT) models for two carcass traits (CT1 and CT2) measured in purebred broiler chickens. The MT models also included information on indicator traits measured in vivo (Growth and Feed Efficiency Trait – FE). We proposed an approach termed (Quasi) multi-task SVR (QMTSVR), with hyperparameters optimization perfo… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
