Abstract:Precocious puberty (PP) is a rare presentation of intracranial pathology unrelated to the pituitary. PP in this setting is considered a paraneoplastic phenomenon, achieved through synthesis of sex-hormones by the tumor itself or via alterations in the release of gonadotrophins from the pituitary. The latter has been described with masses adjacent to the pituitary or with those which cause hydrocephalus.
