Rare Radiative and Leptonic B Decays: Recent Results from BaBar and Belle

Abstract: Recent BABAR and Belle results on rare B decays involving photons or lepton pairs are reviewed. New preliminary limits from both experiments for B → ργ and B 0 → ωγ, and from BABAR for B − → K − νν and B + → τ + ν τ are presented. Also summarized from the past year are Belle measurements of B → X s ℓ + ℓ − and B 0 → K * 2 (1430) 0 γ, preliminary BABAR measurements of B → X s γ, and preliminary results from BABAR and Belle on B → K ( * ) ℓ + ℓ − . No significant deviations from Standard Model predictions have y… Show more

“…As well as the experimental observations, the states of the B and B s mesons have already been predicted by various theoretical models. These predictions employ various relativistic or relativized quark models, potential models, the Bethe-Salpeter equation as well as constituent quark models based on the Dirac equation [2][3][4][8][9][10][11][12][13]. Experimental exploration of newly observed and unconfirmed states of the B and B s mesons motivate us to carry out a comprehensive theoretical study.…”
