Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the design of a multiantenna Joint Radar-Communication (JRC) system with Rate Splitting Multiple Access (RSMA) and low resolution Digitalto-Analog Converter (DAC) units. Using RSMA, the communication messages are split into private and common parts, then precoded and quantized before transmission. We use a problem formulation to design the JRC system with RSMA and low resolution DACs by maximizing communication sum-rate and the proximity of the resulting JRC waveform to an optimal r… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
